Frequently
Asked Questions:
How Much
Does It Cost?
It shouldn't
cost anything. The program brings in revenue, meaning money you didn't have to
begin with. In comparison to the long term business you are left with at the end
of the exercise, the percentage we take for the effort is very rarely over ten
percent and usually more like one percent. Your initial set up fees and monthly
expense fees are adjusted to your ability to pay until the program begins to produce
revenue. There is a published rate sheet that clearly
defines the remuneration process; and, a contract is designed with an "escape
route" for you should the process prove unsuccessful..
Do You Have A Warm Market Of Your Own (personal contacts) That
You Use To Create Initial Sales? NO! Absolutely not! This is one
of the paradigms I find I have to struggle with quite often. We are not a Multi-Level
Marketing Scheme. We take your product or service to the actual Commercial Market.
If your product or service will not fly in the "real world", no one
should be bringing their friends and relatives into it.
What Criteria Does A New Company Have To Meet To Be Eligible For
This Program?
1) My expertise lies in business to business marketing. Household or
"consumer" marketing is very different.
2) The business owner(s) must be willing to let go of a number of paradigms including
preconceived notions about how much effort is really required to "launch"
a business.
3) The business owner(s) must be willing to be a functional part of the team;
and, be able to shift positions from leader to follower and back again as the
process progresses through its stages.
4) Everyone involved must be familiar with, comfortable with, and willing to work
with a set process and procedure. (To name a few.)
Would You Continue To Sell For Us After The Launch Is Successfully
Completed?
Maybe. We can talk about that as time goes on and we see how the working
relationship evolves.
Can You Just Show Me How To Do This Myself? While
the launch itself is not a one man job and it takes a team, I do have a manual
I have published that will get you started. This is especially effective if an
individual doesn't have their "capsule" or "launch pad" quite
together yet. The manual is 250.CDN with five hours of instruction; or, 150.CDN
with three hours of instruction.
Are You Not Just "Tooting Your Own Horn" by Promoting
Your Own Services Right Now? This is a networking situation...
a "component" of business marketing. The A.U. Launch Program does Not
replace ALL the components of marketing... it is actually just as it states itself
to be... THE LAUNCH. And, after your company is in "orbit" those "launch"
stages of the process can be discarded just like the boosters of any space craft
are disengaged. From there then you proceed into a "maintenance" effort
as described in our "goal" paragraph at the beginning of this presentation.
What Other Companies Have You Launched: A printing
company. A furniture manufacturing
company. Also a janitorial company, and an insurance brokerage co. plus my own
promotional company. All in Calgary between 1982 and today; and, all still operating
today. Please notice the variety between tangible and intangible! In between I
also launched some sales careers for a select few. Direct references are available.
*Just A Note: Most people who start their own business have worked previously
elsewhere. With that experience they lived a "maintenance" level of
effort. And, in many cases, the pace was severe even at that! However, a launch
effort is ten to one hundred times more concentrated and demanding than any effort
you would have had to endure anywhere else. It is truly the difference between
a leisurely walk in the park and running an iron-man marathon! If you have a spouse
bringing in the bacon, covering the overhead and making sure there's food on the
table, you can take the leisurely walk in the park approach to business... and
that is great - more power to you. We all wish we could do that! However If not,
fasten your seat belts; Because as demanding and severe as the ride is, the reward
at the end of that rainbow is well worth it!
