Process & Procedure Manuals

Brace yourself for this one - It doesn't get much more boring than this!

However! After the project is complete - it is as exciting to sit down and see your business clearly defined as it is to look through your own family photo albums.

We capture the essence of your success. We identify what makes your company tick day to day. Then we put that down on paper in a step by step instruction/descriptive format so that you can continue to do what is successful, over and over again.

Why would you want to do that? For a number of reasons such as:

1) It allows the principles of the company to continue to manage from afar. In other words, they don't
have to be there every day, every minute, to ensure things are done as they should be; because, it provides a reference guide to the workers.

a) It therefore also provides standard policy that will deter wrongful dismissal suits.
b) Many have also won challenges in small claims court from would-be clients demanding
aspects of service, for example, that are not even obligated by the provider.

2) The process itself will expose "bugs" in your current procedures that are hindering growth and
development. Hey, there's always room for improvement, right?

3) It establishes a guide line to return to after a distraction.

4) In its most useful position, the Process and Procedure Manual provides the basis for Franchising.
It's your business in a box, complete with instructions!

So, naturally, this documentation would be highly confidential. This is your private recipe for success in what you do. Therefore, A.U. does sign a confidentiality agreement with you to perform this task for you.

It requires that one of our staff representatives must observe your operations on a day to day basis first; from an overall point of view; then from each department. A model can be drawn at the end of the process that clearly demonstrates the communication flow and the departmental overlaps. You can't clearly see where you are going unless you know clearly where you stand.

Also too, doing this yourself could be like shifting gears without the use of a clutch! Just as it is stated that "you can't see the forest for the trees" - you can't do the job and describe it at the same time; because, each function requires a different position in the process.

Besides; if you are the human being we expect you are, you will naturally take a great deal for granted. You will unknowingly expect an outsider coming in to work for you; or perhaps a client, to have understanding and perspective only someone of your long-term experience could have.

If your process is down in writing, your message is clearer to potential clients as well as to team mates and subordinates. It really is in the best interest of you and your company to have it.
